Overview

DPB/DGE IT serves members both locally and remotely. As such, we understand we need to provide resources that are restricted to our internal network to people stationed across the globe. We anticipate users who appreciate being able to access Carnegie resources when they are traveling abroad.

With your Carnegie account and your Duo two-factored device, you can have access to DPB/DGE's Virtual Private Network (VPN). The VPN allows remote access from virtually anywhere as long as you have a stable internet connection. Being on the DPB/DGE VPN allows you to securely access data storage, computing resources, and software licensing servers remotely as if you were physically plugged into our network on our local campus.

For those who are most comfortable from a command line, we also provide remote access via our SSH tunnel
